Brand Identity for a Canarian Restaurant in Tenerife
Esterlicia is a restaurant located in La Matanza de Acentejo, in northern Tenerife. Set inside a traditional Canarian house with exposed wooden beams, thick stone walls and landscaped gardens filled with bird-of-paradise flowers, the restaurant overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Its menu combines Canarian cuisine with Mediterranean and international influences.

Client: Esterlicia Restaurante
The Challenge: Before designing the identity, we analyzed the restaurant's positioning within Tenerife's hospitality market. Rather than competing as a traditional Canarian restaurant or a fine dining destination, Esterlicia aimed to offer a relaxed dining experience where the natural surroundings were just as important as the food itself.
With that strategic foundation in place, the challenge was to create the brand identity from the ground up for a restaurant that had not yet opened its doors, defining its personality before welcoming its first guests.

The Outcome: The final identity system works consistently across every customer touchpoint. Designed as a flexible brand identity, it adapts seamlessly to printed materials, signage, menus and digital communication while maintaining a cohesive visual language.
The new identity positioned Esterlicia as an elegant yet approachable restaurant within Tenerife's hospitality scene. Years later, the brand continues to reflect the real dining experience, demonstrating how a strategy-led identity can remain relevant over time.

Creative Direction: The creative concept was inspired by the bird-of-paradise flower, the element that gives the restaurant its name and became the foundation of its visual identity. The logo was designed as a simplified interpretation of its distinctive organic shape, creating a symbol with its own recognizable character.
The colour palette intentionally avoids saturated tones in favour of fresh, understated colours that evoke calm, nature and quiet luxury, reflecting both the restaurant's surroundings and its positioning. Ceramic textures and botanical elements were introduced throughout the identity to reinforce this visual language with subtlety and consistency.
